Jury
De European Cartoon Award heeft twee jury’s:
– laureatenjury, bestaande uit vijf genomineerden uit de afgelopen editie
– jurypanel, bestaande uit de winnaar van de afgelopen editie plus vier journalisten, cartoonisten of activisten.

Janet Anderson
Janet H. Anderson is een journalist en redacteur die verslag doet van processen van oorlogsmisdaden. Als trainer en mentor ondersteunt ze NGO’s en journalisten bij het creëren van impact via de media en het ontwikkelen van vaardigheden in campagnevoeren over een reeks van mensenrechtenonderwerpen. Janet is ook medepresentator van Asymmetrical Haircuts, een podcast die een genderevenwicht biedt aan commentaar op het internationale strafrecht. Ze is opgeleid door de BBC en heeft gewerkt voor een breed scala aan media in Europa en Afrika.

Tom Janssen
Tom Janssen (Breda,1950), or Tom, is a Dutch editorial cartoonist who works already many decades for the national newspaper Trouw and regional Dutch newspapers. He won last year the European cartoon award. His cartoons are also published via Cagle cartoons, Le Courrier international and Vox Europe.

Niels Bo Bojesen
Niels Bo Bojesen is a Danish editorial cartoonist. A graduate of the Danish School of Design and having attended the School of Visual Arts/ Department of Media Arts, New York. He creates editorial cartoons for the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten as well as international websites, newspapers and magazines.

Jen Sorensen
Jen Sorensen is a cartoonist based in the United States. She was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist in 2017, the winner of the 2014 Herblock Prize, and recipient of a 2013 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. In 2021, she served as President of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Her work has appeared in The Nib, The Nation, Politico, and newspapers around the US.

Catherine André
Catherine André is a journalist, cofounder and Editorial director of the multilingual European media Voxeurop. She is also Deputy-editor-in-chief of the monthly French magazine Alternatives Economiques. Having studied and lived in many European countries and worked for almost twenty years at Courrier international, she values cartoons as a full journalist genre. She is a Jury member for the Louise Weiss Prize award of European journalism, and the World Press Cartoon award 2022.

Osama Hajjaj
Osama Hajjaj Jordanian editorial cartoonist. He works for several international websites and newspapers such as Cartoon Movement & Cagle Cartoons, Le Monde, and France 24. Osama has received several awards, and he is famous in Jordan through his cartoon characters “Atta and Atwa”.

Saeed Sadeghi
Born in 1974 Jahrom, Iran .B.A in painting from Tehran Art University , Art teacher. Activity in Cartoon, painting and Graphic design. Win more than 130 national and international cartoon awards. Holding several solo exhibitions of cartoons and national and international judging.<br>A cartoonist in national newspaper and magazines. Collaboration with a number of international cartoon websites.
